How comforting to know that Jesus knows us, as a shepherd knows his sheep. It is said a true friend knows all about us but loves us anyway. That is Jesus. He knows all your hurts, your pains, and your needs--even before you do.He cares, too. He cares that you hurt. He is just waiting for you to give those hurts to Him. How can you come to know Jesus? It is really simple. The first thing you have to do is admit you are a sinner. It says in Romans 3:23 that "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Just tell Him you are a sinner, and that you are sorry for your sins. Next you have to believe He died for you. The most famous verse in the world is John 3:16. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not die, but have everlasting life." Now you can believe you are saved. Do you need proof? It says in Romans 10:9 "That if you confess with your mouth 'Jesus is Lord' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." That's how the Good Shepherd can become your shepherd. Won't you let him become your shepherd today?
